Micromax Working on its own Cross Platform Operating System

Micromax  Bringing their own OS

In the race for developing its own Operating System, Micromax, the Indian Hardware Giant, is no back. After Samsung and Xiaomi developing their own OS, it’s Micromax which is developing its own OS for Phones, Tablets TVs and Wearables. It is also supposed to bundle its own Apps and services.

Just like other OSs, it will be a forked android version taking advantage of the Google’s open source platform. The team working at Bangalore, India comprises of 75 people from Nokia’s Beijing R&D.

As seen in the near past, Micromax has also been shifting their focus on Software part and also brought Cyanogen to their famous YU series smartphones.

“The first smartphones with the new OS will be available by the end of this financial year and they will be affordably priced,” Micromax’s co-founder Vikas Jain told the source news site.
